Clarify the role of neuron when one suddenly touch the hot body.

When we touch a hot body, we immediately move apart from that hot body. This action is instantaneous and automatic. Such action lies in reflex action category. here neuron plays an important role. Neuron's role here can be described in three terms. These terms are as follows :-

1. Afferent nerve :- Neurons takes the sensory impulse from the receptor organ to the spinal cord.


2. Relay neuron :- Neuron in spinal cord which changes the sensory impulse into motor impulse.


3. Motor or Efferent Nerve :- Carries the motor impulse from the spinal cord to the effector organ so that receptor organ can be moved apart from the hot body.
