Gymnosperm evolved earlier than angiosperm. It evolved in Jurassic period.

Angiosperms evolved in cretaceous period.

5. Population

Gymnosperms are less in number than angiosperms.

Angiosperms are the most dominant plant species on the earth.

6. Diversity

There are around 1000 species of gymnosperm.
While
There are around 352,000 species of angiosperm have been found so far.
