Natures of this image formed are as follows:-
(i) It is real.
(ii) It is inverted.
(iii) It is magnified.
(All these natures of the image can be noticed from the figure drawn above.)
The lens has power of +4D which means the lens is convex and it is used as remedy for long sightedness i.e. hypermetropia.
Power of the lens, P = +4D
Focal length of the lens, f = 1/P
= 1/4
= 0.25 m
=25 cm
The distance between the lens and magazine should be at least 25 cm to be read properly.
