What are properties of aluminium that make it suitable for building body parts of the aeroplane?

Following are the properties of aluminium that make it suitable for building body parts of the aeroplane :-

1. Specific gravity:-
   It's density is 2.7 g.cm⁻³ at 20 °C. This lower density makes Aluminium a best construction material for aircrafts among various corrosive resistant metal.
2. Corrosion resistant:-
   Aluminium is chemically more resistant to moisture than various metals. There are various lighter metals than Aluminium but their highly reactive nature make them unsuitable.
3. Abundance:-
   It is the third most abundant element and the most abundant metal in the Earth's crust.
